Jo started her training at her mothers dance school and soon got the dancing bug. Aged 11 Jo was awarded a Yorkshire ballet scholarship and attended weekly lessons with Miss Louise Brown (OBE) in York. When she turned 13 she was spotted by a teacher at the Royal Academy of Dance in London, and was invited to extra training at the RAD Headquaters every Saturday.
She furthered her professional training at Bird College of Performing Arts on a Full Scholarship gaining her Adv 2 exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern. After graduation Jo worked professionally as a dancer and singer doing UK tours, world tours and dancing on Cruise Ships. When she decided to settle down she became a qualified teacher with the RAD and ISTD and has been successfully running her own School for the past 15 years. Past pupils of Jo's have successfully auditioned for large London Dance colleges and most go on a full scholarship. Some of her competition pupils have successfully made it to the Finals of the All England Dance competition in London and the Miss Dance Finals in Blackpool. Having relocated her family to Bourne she is eager to pass on her knowledge and joy of Dance to the children in the area.

I started dancing when I was 3 years old doing Ballet, Tap, Modern, Acro and Jazz and this is when my love for dance began. Ever since then I have been taking exams with the ISTD, performing in various shows and performances, and being dancers for celebrities such as Louie Spence.
I began student teaching at 13 years old and this is where my love for teaching stemmed from. At 18 I made the decision to cancel my place at university and instead study at the Ministry of Dance College to become a teacher in ISTD and IDTA. Alongside this I did my exams in order to become a Fitness Instructor and Pilates Instructor which is a different aspect of teaching which I enjoy too.
Having just finished college I am excited to start a new chapter in my life with Apollo.
